The 3D numerical model SHYFEM (System of HydrodYnamic Finite Element Modules) is implemented to study the lake dynamics of the volcanic Lake Albano and to investigate the occurrence of the overturning events. The model is forced by ERA5 reanalysis dataset and it is validated and calibrated using the available salinity S and temperature T data. Final output is a 4-years realistic simulation from 01/01/2020 to 31/12/2023.
